“As usual for a Squares Challenge month I will be sharing squares daily, and I would love it if you did the same. However if daily sounds too daunting, don’t worry. It is fine to join us weekly or even just pop in occasionally with your squares. The frequency of your squares depends on you and also your blog. All I ask is that your image has 4 equal sides, and that it reflects the theme of bright.”
If you want to share your own picture, you can post a picture of it in someone’s comment section by 1. copying your picture’s link from the media file and 2. removing the “s” from https. Thanks to Hugh Roberts for that tip.
a Jewish ritual service and ceremonial dinner for the first night or first two nights of Passover.
Most of our family is gone so we don’t celebrate in a big way. For several years I had the privilege to celebrate Passover with my friend Elane Geller and about fifteen of her closest friends, some of whom were movie stars that I didn’t know. She is in the foreground with two friends. Elane survived the Holocaust as a child. I had the privilege of escorting and introducing her to speak to high school students.
Spring #Prescott Walk #9
Today we walked 8, 100 steps and took a couple of photos showing trios. On Easter Sunday Vince and I will go to church. We are planning a small dinner together with Vince’s sister. After we will probably go on a walk to get our steps in. Our goal was 7,000 steps a day, but we have fallen short on many bad weather days.
Outside Is Still a Safe Place
We’ve endured the long COVID restrictions by being able to get outside when it hasn’t snowed or gusted us to death. This is our first Easter in Prescott, AZ. We’ve been anxiously awaiting to see what Blooming Hills Drive looks like in the spring. It blossomed just in time for Easter.
Outside is still one of the safest places you can go and distance from people. Today, we went to the easy trail around Willow Lake This family trio let me take a photo . They represent what many families will do on Easter after all their festivities.
You don’t have to go far to get in your steps and find a few trios. These trees are planted outside our condo complex. Groups of threes makes an artistically appealing arrangement, even if a fourth tree did try to photo bomb it’s branches, don’t you think?
Who hasn’t heard that quote, but did you know who said it? I didn’t. Ben Franklin made a lot of quoteworthy statements during his life. One man took them to heart and tried to remake his life living in accordance with Ben’s advice. If you haven’t read the book Ben and Me by Cameron Gunn, you are missing one of the funniest books in the history of mankind. I read it on a plane with tears in my eyes from trying not to laugh out loud. Here is my review, if you want a little taste of it. Sadly all my post’s likes disappeared when I moved it from my self-hosted blog, not because the book is bad. 🙂
Carol Cormier hosts a relatively new challenge, Thursday Trios, which encourages us to take pictures of groups of threes. Today my husband Vince brought home the most beautiful apples. Pretty as a picture, if you ask me.
An apple a day keeps anyone away if you throw it hard enough!
So pretty, in fact, the the three bunnies had to jump into the picture.
That tree is very old, but I never saw prettier blossoms on it than it now bears. That tree grows new wood each year. Like that apple tree, I try to grow a new little wood each year.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
I like that quote. I am not growing any new wood, but I try to learn something new each day. Inspired, I walked outside at 5:00 to grab some golden hour pictures to experiment with lines and shapes.
Fortunately it wasn’t snowing today on Blooming Hills Drive, our street. Sure enough – three clumps of blossoms jumped into my camera, survivals of the gusty 30 mph winds on Wednesday and snow on Thursday.
Hope to see you here tomorrow for #Sunday Stills Respecting Your Cat.
