Celebrating the Passover Seder

a Jewish ritual service and ceremonial dinner for the first night or first two nights of Passover.

Online Dictionary

Most of our family is gone so we don’t celebrate in a big way. For several years I had the privilege to celebrate Passover with my friend Elane Geller and about fifteen of her closest friends, some of whom were movie stars that I didn’t know. She is in the foreground with two friends. Elane survived the Holocaust as a child. I had the privilege of escorting and introducing her to speak to high school students.

Thursday Trios Happy Easter at a Jewish Seder

Spring #Prescott Walk #9

Today we walked 8, 100 steps and took a couple of photos showing trios. On Easter Sunday Vince and I will go to church. We are planning a small dinner together with Vince’s sister. After we will probably go on a walk to get our steps in. Our goal was 7,000 steps a day, but we have fallen short on many bad weather days.

Outside Is Still a Safe Place

We’ve endured the long COVID restrictions by being able to get outside when it hasn’t snowed or gusted us to death. This is our first Easter in Prescott, AZ. We’ve been anxiously awaiting to see what Blooming Hills Drive looks like in the spring. It blossomed just in time for Easter.

Yes, I know there are more than three, but look in the center lane only. Ignore those next to the sidewalk!

Outside is still one of the safest places you can go and distance from people. Today, we went to the easy trail around Willow Lake This family trio let me take a photo . They represent what many families will do on Easter after all their festivities.

You don’t have to go far to get in your steps and find a few trios. These trees are planted outside our condo complex. Groups of threes makes an artistically appealing arrangement, even if a fourth tree did try to photo bomb it’s branches, don’t you think?

Wishing you a Happy and safe Easter.

  1. Like Willow mentioned, I also don’t see the trio of the family photo.

It is good to hear that Blooming Hills is living up to its name this Easter with all those lovely blooms, Marsha.

And what a fascinating woman Elaine sounds. I can’t imagine the horrors she went through. And I wonder who those actresses were and what movies or TV shows they appeared in?

Happy Easter to Vince and you.

        1. Whaaaaat? Rewrite? I’ve been working on Becky B’s. I think I’m up to day 10. I try to keep up with comments every few hours so I don’t get way behind. We had our second bike ride today. Not too far – 7 miles or so. Very fun! 🙂

          1. Yep, rewrite. I’ll post it tomorrow. Wow, 10 dyas! That’s impressive! I’ve got photos sorted for about 10 days. Taking the day off yesterday and replying to comments for 3 hours on the drive over and only about an hour on the drive back, I still couldn’t keep up. 🙂 I’m so glad y’all got out on a bike ride today. 7 miles isn’t too far on a bike. A hike is a different story. I got in about 3 miles yesterday and my foot has paid the price today. 🙂

          2. I couldn’t do 7 miles walking without a lot more conditioning. When I was 56, I did a 60 mile walk for breast cancer in San Diego in three days. I trained for several months, It was the hardest physical thing I have ever done. I was crying as I went through the receiving line.

          3. Wow! That’s my age now. I did plenty of physical training when I was younger. I’m missing my hula hoop right now. I had gotten in great shape last year until my knees started bothering me. 😊

  2. Thanks for your Trios and the stories that went with them. I’m glad you’re trying to get in your steps. I’ve had a couple of good weeks, averaging 10,000 to 11,000 steps a day but this week has not been so good. The wind and colder temperatures have kept me indoors.

    1. Yes, me too, and our colder temps were probably you higher ones. LOL I’ve had about 8,000 a day for the past three days and put on a pound. 🙂 Oh well. at least I’m doing the right things. Today we are going to take our new bikes out for a spin.

        1. That’s like us and swimming when we had a pool. Vince cleaned it every day, and we rarely got into it. I don’t think he even put his toes in once our last year there. 🙂
