Heaven Meets Hell on Fri-Yay Funday — Unique Times

Cindy and Gottfried created a story collaboration like nothing I’ve seen before online. It’s creative with both of their voices shining through from their different perspectives. Out of over 230 comments, most of their readers loved it, some objected to it on religious grounds, but few were silent.

I felt inspired by their style of writing together and I think it could catch on as a style of blogging or a challenge. The post reminded me of an English lesson I used to do with my students in which each student would start a story, and pass their story starter in a small group to their neighbor, who would add to it and pass it on. After four passes or so, the original writer had their story back. In Cindy’s case she and Gottfried passed it back and forth until the story ended.

Whether or not you liked the story, what did you think of the style? Do you have a friend that you could spar with on line? Thank you for sharing the link, Cindy.

Hi All, Welcome to Fri-Yay Funday Collab post When Heaven Meets Hell! Once every so often your path crosses with someone that you might never be friends with. You are from complete opposite sides of the coin, or are you? You can’t explain it but there is sheer delight in the irreverent, and light heartness […]

Heaven Meets Hell on Fri-Yay Funday — Unique Times

Author: Marsha

Hi, I'm Marsha Ingrao, a retired educator and wife of a retired realtor. My all-consuming hobby is blogging and it has changed my life. My friends live all over the world. For thirty-five years, I lived in the most beautiful area in Central Valley of California in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains minutes from the Sequoia National Park. As a child I moved from Indiana to Oregon. With my first husband I moved from Oregon to Colorado to California. Every time we moved, it hurt so much to leave friends. I never wanted to move again. After Mark passed, I married again. I told Vince that I could never budge from my roots in California. He said he loved the high desert. I don't think he ever thought he would realize his dream. In November, 2020, we sold everything and retired to the mile-high desert of Prescott, AZ. We live less than five miles from the Granite Dells, four lakes and hundreds of trails with our dog, Kalev, and two cats, Moji and Nutter Butter. Vince's sister came with us and lives close by. Every day is a new adventure.

        1. I don’t think everything has to be edgy to be good. 🙂 The point was that you and Gottfried had a spark going on. I think that spark needs to be there, certainly, but new collaborations would take on the personalities and spirits of the authors collaborating. The model is the spark between two authors that can work together as well as the two of you did. 🙂
