Reading Break

Are you wondering what to do with yourselves after everyone is done unwrapping presents, finished eating and cleaning up. How about grabbing a good book? Donna has been on a break from blogging and spent her hours reading and reading, so she has some great books to recommend.

Hi, I'm Marsha Ingrao, a retired educator and wife of a retired realtor. My all-consuming hobby is blogging and it has changed my life. My friends live all over the world. For thirty-five years, I lived in the most beautiful area in Central Valley of California in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains minutes from the Sequoia National Park. As a child I moved from Indiana to Oregon. With my first husband I moved from Oregon to Colorado to California. Every time we moved, it hurt so much to leave friends. I never wanted to move again. After Mark passed, I married again. I told Vince that I could never budge from my roots in California. He said he loved the high desert. I don't think he ever thought he would realize his dream. In November, 2020, we sold everything and retired to the mile-high desert of Prescott, AZ. We live less than five miles from the Granite Dells, four lakes and hundreds of trails with our dog, Kalev, and two cats, Moji and Nutter Butter. Vince's sister came with us and lives close by. Every day is a new adventure.

  1. Hi, Marsha – Thank you so much for sharing my post. It s a true honour.
I LOVE reading and I LOVE discussing books (thus my five bookclubs…but I digress). 😀
I am currently rereading The Great Gatsby and Wuthering Heights. So that’s where I’ll be this holiday (in between family and friend Zoom calls of course)!
Wishing you a happy holiday and a wonderful year ahead!

  2. Thank you for sharing this post, Marsha. Donna is inspirational on many levels and her reading list is eclectic, fun and informative. My MO is always having two books on the go, on diverse topics. I have not kept lists of the books I read. Something I should start doing in 2021. I have a Christmas reading reward list when I plan to savour books. I wish you and your loved ones a peaceful, joyful season. ❤️
