As Darlene and I hiked towards Courthouse Butte near Sedona, AZ, we came across these beds of cacti.

They had no redeeming beautiful velvety flower!

    1. I found some similar looking ones here in Toowoomba on the dividing range in Australia, but not so many spikes. Carol called them prickly pears. πŸ™‚
