Watch out for flesh-scratching cacti on a desert trail!
Cee’s Oddball Challenge
As Darlene and I hiked towards Courthouse Butte near Sedona, AZ, we came across these beds of cacti.

They had no redeeming beautiful velvety flower!

Trust me these spikes are not kind to bare skin!

Ouch. Once got bucked off a horse into a patch of these. It was not fun.

I found some similar looking ones here in Toowoomba on the dividing range in Australia, but not so many spikes. Carol called them prickly pears. 🙂
