That’s why we need YOU!

  • Could your blog use some new readers?
  • Maybe you understand self-publishing, traditional publishing, copywriting, magazine and freelance writing
  • You are a poet, a sci-fi screenwriter, write youthful romances.

Interviews reveal the opportunities, fears, habits, obstacles, and inner battles of bloggers, authors, and photographers all along the path to success.

It doesn’t take long to interview, and it’s fun!

Notice: Due to the nature of the interview process, not all interviews will be published. Always Write reserves the right to refuse publication, for any reason, without notice.

Goals of the Interview:

We want to understand you, the writer/photographer. Stories of wins and losses are best, as we are not looking for direct tips or tactics.

We want to humanize bloggers who are usually both writers and photographers and hopefully understand how you think and work. This is best achieved when you can answer “I did this..” or “This is what I do in my business,” not “This is what YOU should do.”

We all know what we are supposed to do, but…

Possible Interview Questions

Below you will find a list of possible questions that you may be asked during your interview. Due to our conversational style, these may not be asked, but the conversation will start with the first question.

First question:

What is the ONE thing that you do, that you feel has been the biggest contributor to your successes, so far?

 Other possible questions:

What is one opportunity that you attribute to blogging or publishing your work?

Can you walk us through how to be wrong?

What concerns or obstacles have you overcome in your career?

Tell me about something that you are not good at.

How do you balance your time between your personal and career/blogging life?

Tell me about when you realized that you were a professional.

What one person or resource helped you the most as a new blogger?

If your blog or career ended today, what would be the legacy that you left behind?

Author: Marsha

Hi, I'm Marsha Ingrao, a retired educator and wife of a retired realtor. My all-consuming hobby is blogging and it has changed my life. My friends live all over the world. In November 2020, we sold everything and retired to the mile-high desert of Prescott, AZ. We live less than five miles from the Granite Dells, four lakes, and hundreds of trails with our dog, Kalev, and two cats, Moji and Nutter Butter. Vince's sister came with us and lives close by. Every day is a new adventure.
