The good news is that everyone in the world that I know is not sordid this morning.  My sister-in-law suggested maybe that their great-uncle someone, or maybe it was a second cousin twice removed, I forget, might have been involved in the mafia in NY.  That’s as close as it came to becoming a post.  Besides I’m at the beach with my friend, Jean.  We walked over 10 miles yesterday, and about 14 the day before.  My feet got pretty sordid.  🙂

Bob Jones Trail006

So have a happy Friday and rest of the weekend.  Feel free to comment on my not-so sordid posts, and I’ll see you on Monday.  I love you all.  🙂

          3. Some toadies have been living with me, I may do something with them and give this “brand” thing a go. I’m not sure, I’m just all over! Har har har, I love what you have been doing, lassie.

          4. You are branding toadies???? Yikes. Does it hurt???

          5. What a little toadie henna brand? I should think not, looks grand spiffing too! Cheers

            P.S.

Thought you might like to have a wee glisk at a tiny poem Sir wrote, along with his own photograph. We went on our first photography meet-up this past Saturday and Sir captured some brilliant rain-dappled floarals. The one he shared in his post this evening is from within a butterfly house. You should have seen him crying out with joy as fritillary butterflies kept landing on him. It was brilliant! Enjoy, cheers,

          7. I made one logo-esc brandy thing of a version of me that looks like it comes from the film “Wild Ones” to scare Sir with, but I don’t think it’s so grand to terrify blog land with it. I look quite leathery and scary in it. I love it, of course, suits me as I am a brute as I must have mentioned almost as many times as I have mentioned toadies or lime water. Right now the toadies are snapping up some late-night crickets here beside me. It is wonderful

          9. There! I’ve put it back up just for you, you dubious….doubter! HMPH! Look at that. Why, a roguish, motor-cycle riding, trophy-toting Marlon Brando looks like a puling little wee jump-rope skipping microscopic lil’ lassie in comparison!

  4. OOO you have mob ties TOO??? I have direct ties to Irish mafia in Chicago 😉 My great uncle keeps attempting to keep the thing going- he likes to break thumbs of police officers and hire hits and roar around flinging law degrees and millions about- classic. If only I could get him to wear a fedora….or pay for me to go to Oxford…he wanted my brother to go to Notre Dame and play football for them, all paid for, but a wee smiling toad was not included in this offer. I have tried to tell him I’ll play rugger for Oxford (do they have rugger there?), but I get the frog face and then he dashes off with plumes of cigar-smoke wreathing around his head, eager to dip into more “beer therapy” and get away from scary ol’ babs. (suspires) Ah whale.

P.S. I would have LOVED to have dashed along with you and Jean on your jaunt. BEAUTIFUL! Many cheers dear lass,

    Autumn Jade

    1. Yes, our jaunt was right up your ocean alley. Your uncle didn’t want to pay for you? Maybe that was a good thing. Then you would have mob ties! Yikes! My ties are too slim even for Cindy to tell them right. 🙂

      1. Bah, I think I make a much more dastardly, delightfully disturbing mobster 😉 He is just a flimsy, puling, feathery little charlatan in comparison 😉 ….and you are quite correct. I don’t need blood money to go skipping off to Oxford with! 😉

No scent of Mafioso-types whirling around on Sir’s side, of course- a lot of proper English people, there. Delicate writer-types. It is the Irish side that is so roguishly fun. So…so…stupendously sordid!

    1. I did enjoy it. We walked our feet off – at least 10 miles a day, and I gained 4 pounds. God figure. Must have been the chocolate malt. Today I get serious about losing weight. Walking, weight lifting next then a little time in the pool – not exercising too much – just legs. 🙂 BMI 35 YIKES!!

    1. I just dusted the sordid off and they are as good as new. Have you ever heard of butt dust?

‘Dear Lord,’ the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. ‘Without you, we are but dust…’ He would have continued, but at that moment my very obedient daughter, who was listening, leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four year old girl voice, ‘Mom, what is butt dust?’
